ABOUT BADRI COWS : Badri cow is the first registered cattle breed of Uttarakhand which has been certified by the National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources (NBAGR). It grazes on the magical high altitude grass lands of Himalayas full of medicinal value, It is far away from toxic pollution of the cities and plain lands where cows are mechanically fed by humans., WHY BADRI COW GHEE : As the Badri cow grazes only on herbs and shrubs available in the mountains, its milk has rich medicinal content and high organic value. Badri cows offer a Range of benefits and it is costly as the produce is also very low compared to Gir, Hallikar & other indigenous cow Breed., OUR VEDIC TRADITIONAL GHEE MAKING PROCESS : Fresh A2 milk obtained from free grazing Badri cows is boiled and set to curd, the curd is then slowly hand churned bi-directionally by our experienced Ghee maker(Nirmla didi) in a wooden churner called a bilona. The A2 butter obtained through this process is then separated and slowly heated by her to obtain Badri cow ghee. That is why our Himalayan Organic Badri cow ghee has a grainy texture, thicker consistency, tempting aroma, and great flavour., EVERY BATCH OF BADRI COW GHEE IS SPECIAL : It takes a minimum 12-15 days to prepare one batch of Badri Cow ghee.
